Hello Everyone, we are installing a 3300 in Our Osny France Office , they have 2 E-1 's on their current Northern Matra PBX before the cutover we tried after hours to test a E-1 on the embedded trunk module on the 3300
first we tried it as a Euro standard ISDN and used a straight thru cable to the french telecom NIU
no sync , then tried switching the NT and LT options
around to flip the transmit and rec, still no sync
we looked at the wiring on the telco block it appears
that the transmit and receive pair are on pins 3 4 5 6 ?
we also tried programming these as DASS like we have in
Our UK offices still no sync

Has anyone had any experience in France ?

E1 uses 1,2 and 4,5

I think you need to have a crosscable.
So cross 1 with 4 en 2 with 5.

Hi Tipeter, Thanks for the reply
we used a straight thru cable first to use pins 1 & 2
4 & 5 and then with a coupler and then a crossover
cable to flip 1 & 2 with 4 & 5 also used the LT
and NT to software wise flip the pairs
you would think with the straight and the cross over
we would get at least a yellow light on the embedded

You should get at least a yellow.
I do not know how the french work but i suppose it is the same as in Holland (where i live)

A networl crossover cable does not flip the correct pairs so I would prefer you said a pri crossover cable. secondly make sure you enable esf

Hello everyone Thanks for your feedback
we got it working by bypassing the block the France telcom
had on the wall and used a RJ45 and terminated the recieve on pins 1 and 2 and transmit on pins 4 and 5
it ended up being a regular E-1 DASS
