Framemaker to Quark help

Hello anyone got any ideas to solve this problem. I work for a publisher that is mostly using Quark. We are buying in books already laid out in Framemaker. In order to make some changes for our market we need to be able to access these files. Anyone got any ideas of how this can be done without exporting the text in Framemaker as an rtf and then having to lay them out all over again in Quark. [actually buying Framemaker is not to be an option, apparently]
