Hello all.
I've been asked to review some alternate solutions for our data needs and wanted to ask you what you all think?

Speed, cost, stability.

What have your experiences been with T1, Fiber(OC) T3 Frame and such?
 
To elaborate it will mainly be used for internet access, data transfer to remote offices via VPN etc....

 
Could you elborate further, how much data? to how many offices? how many users?

rn4it has some good questions.
To elaborate; the appropraite solution is also base upon the geographic location(s), many types of circuits are distance sensitive (ie intrastate & interstate ioc costs for private lines or IXC frame pvc's)
also some lecs/rbocs charge end user customers as well as alternative service providers (clec's/ixc's/resellers) more for local access circuits (loops)that are further away from the local serving central office (rboc pop), also location of remote offices will limit the amount of carriers that can provide services, offices in remote locations >50 miles away from major ixc hub cities may not offer services or may make them cost prohibitive, often the best solution to implement is based upon carrier/ixc topology in the region(s) you are looking to bring in circuits....the best technology & solution for a wan with 12 sites in manhattan would not be the best solution for a wan with 12 sites in atlanta or spread out throughout several states. i've found that the frame vs. private line vs ip vpn which is better is based upon what looks good on a visio as well as financially....it is not out of the question that a hybrid wan consisting of atm/frame/private line t1/dsl technologies based upon specific office sites, bandwidth requirements, mean time to repair expectations, redundancy requirements, and cost limitaions.
