In my lab I have (3) 2514's connected to a 2520 (frame switch). If you have Solie's CCIE prep guide it's lab 14. The routers all have point to multipoint S0.1 interfaces and route maps.
With just the basic configuration everything is reachable by ping except in the direction of router B to C. I get ICMP debug messages when pinging C to B. And A can get to everything just fine.
With debug ip packets detail on router B and pinging router C I get messages indicating 'encapsulation failure'. Why would this be for only 1 IP/DLCI and not the other since they're using the same interface?
I should also note that C is on one of the switch's low speed interfaces and the other two on the high speed. A debug frame switching here only shows packets being switched from C to B, nothing else.
I suppose it might be a hardware failure, guess I should swap out router C for another.
Any thoughts?
