Hello,

I'm trying to reflect a FQDN inside the XML configuration files(.cnf) instead of the CM IP address, ex:
<callManager>
<name>cucmoffcie.com</name>
<processNodeName>cucmoffcie.com</processNodeName>

instead of:

<callManager>
<name>192.168.1.10</name>
<processNodeName>192.168.1.10</processNodeName>

Where should we configure this on CUCM, is it something to select through the installation process? I'm working on 7.1 and 8.5 versions.

Thanks!

When you install the server you must select that you will use DNS. If this was not done (sounds like it) you can still add the DNS configuration manually.

Thank you whykap.

Can you tell me in which part of the installation I should select DNS? And if I want to do this after the installation is it using the below command:
CLI > set network domain

Thanks
