We have a site using front page and Front Page keeps changing most of the links, without warning or cause from
example--

Go back to index

TO--

Go back to index

Automatically. Thus, I have over 500 bad hyperlinks on my site now. Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this, or get some add-ins to fix the hyper links?

Even when I use tools>recalculate hyperlinks, it changes the right ones to wrong ones.. what the heck!

Anyways, if you could help, that would be supurb!

Thanx in Advance!

Thank you!!!

In order to properly create a Web page, FrontPage needs the Web site saved on your computer to be in a subweb, not in normal folders. Normal folders causes it to link to your hard drive. as you've already seen. To fix it, go to FILE>NEW and choose subweb. Then import your Web site into the subweb. You can then run a broken links report and track down the broken links.

Do you mean just to create a "web" or an actual "subweb". because when you go to NEW, it gives you the option to create a "Web".

The site we have is a "web" where fromtpage can look for broken links. Do you mean, make a new web, then create a sub web under that???

Thank you!!!

If you just put it under My Webs that FrontPage created, that's just a folder, and you'll need to create a web (a subweb is actually a web within a web). When you open the site, the icon next to the site name should be a folder with a globe in it. If it's just a folder, then it's not a web or a subweb.
