fp2000 loading to laptop

I loaded fp2000 fine on both win 98 and win2000 prof, two pc's. When I load to my laptop, it gets so far then error: file not found, looking for shared files from pfiles/common/msshared/..... for several files. The computer is trying to find them on the Cd-Rom. I have tried installing with office installed and again with office removed. I don't understand why I can load to my other pc's just fine.

Oh, and this is an upgrade....fp98 loaded fine on the laptop.

Hi There-

You could try removing FP'98 completely, clean out registry and reboot.

Than install FP '00. The install procedure will than prompt you to put in the FP'98 cd to verify this is a legal upgrade. All the files are on the '00 cd. Perhaps something was corrupted in the '98 install....
