We're having problems linking to Foxpro v6 (freestanding table) database w/Access 97. It gives an ISAM error when trying to connect to the database. If I copy the database (w/o indexes) to the local drive and link to the same exact *.dbf file, I can access the data successfully. The problem started after we upgraded to Foxpro v6. Has anyone else discovered this problem? Is there a fix for it?

Thanks for your help!

Have you tried putting the VFP tables in a DBC? Seems to me I remember someone saying that they had to do this to accomplish what you want to do.

CJ,
Make sure you have updated to at least MDAC 2.5 (or 2.6) to properly read VFP 6.0 files through ODBC. You can go to to get the updates or start with getting the component checker to find out what version you currently have installed.
