Foxpro record locking 6.5SP6 1

Since applying SP6 to NW6.5 we have been having problrms with our accounting system. It is Pegasus Opera16 written in Microsoft Foxpro.

1) A user can edit a record and then save the record and when trying to edit it again soon after, find that it is locked.

2) When posting to serveral tables at once, one of the table updates are being missed (with no error shown). This may be because a record is locked when it shouldn't have been.

Can anybody suggest some SET parameters to adjust, or can I turn off the latest NSS features one at a time to see if they have an effect?

set level 2 oplocks enabled = off
set client file caching enabled = off

The settings that PAGY listed above will definitely solve your problems. You shouldn't have to mess with NSS.

I have applied this change to startup.ncf and rebooted my server so I hope it makes the difference. Thank you for your help.
