foxpro for dos filename size

I know both dos and foxpro allow 8 + 3 filename and extension characters, but is there a way for longer file names. Dosbox x does all long file names but foxpro by nature does not have the concept of longer than 8 file name characters.

No way. You always need to use the short name.

yes even i know but just pushing my luck. Just like who knew that anyone even in today's time , will even consider discussion development of applications in foxpro.


But again, current developers and users do not ever realise that data entry and printing in bulk can be done very efficiently in applications done with foxpro.
