Hi,

I have FoxPro 2.6 for Windows and am the licensed user.

Recently, I changed the name of my business and when I go to install FPW 2.6, it reads the SETUP.INI file from Setup Disk 1 which has the old information for my business. I would like to install it and register it with my new business information.

Questions...

1) Is there any way to edit the SETUP.INI file so that I can start with a fresh install?

2) Or, can someone provide me with a fresh, unmodified SETUP.INI file?

Thanks,

Scott

Scott,
That's not where that info is actually stored. Unless you a) made a "duplicate" copy of the original disk or b) buy a new one, just learn to live with the "bad" info. It isn't that obvious anywhere anyway - at least not in the .app or .exe files created.

Thanks for the reply, Rick.

You sure the registered user info is not in the SETUP.INI file? I mean, it's the only file with a later datestamp than the other files.

Nope, didn't make a backup of disk 1. Installed it from the original disk.... :-(

...still hoping there's some way I can "reset" the registered user info, or at least overwrite it.
