Foxpro 2.6 for windows halt my PC

I have some trouble with applications in foxpro 2.6 for windows.
When I shut down the application and try to get in again, my computer halt and the only way to keep on working is reseting it.

Someone have any idea why ?

Does this apply using the FPW IDE or just when you are running compiled FPW apps?

Sometimes with FPW IDE and allways with compiled FPW apps.

Can you give us the contents of config.fpw?
And specify which windows you are using please.

Is your FPW version 2.6a or 2.6?
If you still use 2.6 get the updates from the microsoft site and also apply the processor patch to 2.6a

this is my config.fpw

KEYCOMP = WINDOWS
CODEPAGE = AUTO
COLLATE = SPANISH
CATMAN=OFF
EXCLUSIVE=OFF

These problem only is using W98. With W2000 works right and never halt the system.

It looks like the process isn't killed when you shut down an application.

Can you see the process still running when you press ctrl-alt-del (and then you get the program-shutdown window)?

when it's running all is Ok. but when I shut down the application and run again it halt all the maschine. I can't press Ctrl - Alt - Del, Win key, nothing at all..

Can you try running the application on a clean installed 98 system?

Try putting this in your CONFIG.NT file:

SHELL=%SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\COMMAND.COM /E:2048

Then reboot.

remember that the problem is only with W98..
