FoxPro 2.6 is crashing due a problem with that version and the new machines running above 266 Mhz.

So I downloaded the patch to upgrade to 2.6a and then patch the problem with the faster machines.

Now, the path to upgrade to 2.6a display a message that the file foxw2600.esl is not a baseline file and tells that I must to install the program from the disks.

Ok, I did, but the message is still appearing... :-(

If any have been dealing with that trouble I will apreciate you help.

Thanks.
The FoxPro crash can be ignored!!! I am running a 400MHz machine and just clicked on the ignore message and FoxPro ran just fine.

I know this is not an answer to your question but if you can live with clicking IGNORE, then why go through the upgrade hassle. There are a lot of files that have to be upgraded to 2.6a, and if you miss any one of them you are screwed.

I am dealing with a miscellaneous collection of FoxPro 2.5, 2.6, and 2.6a.

It is much easier to hit ignore. The only problem that I have is that I occassionally have to clear the memory, depending on what I am doing.

Thanks for the responses MikeWood and Virgo.

I decide to install Visual FoxPro 5.0 and I'm very excited about that product.

Somebody in a newsgroup told me that I had to rewrite all code from the beginning and this is not true.

VFP converts all, the language is identical with much more commands and the interface is excellent!

It worth while to make the move.

Peruchoa

If you find problems between your 'converted' VFP 5 and other programs that interacted with your FP 2.6, check the file headers. DBF file headers in VFP and 2.6 ARE DIFFERENT. We had to revert back to 2.6 because a Delphi program that wrote to the 'converted' tables changed the header and VFP could not read the file.
Mack

Thanks Mac for the advice.

Peruchoa
I want to know how to introduce a imagine in Foxpro 2.6, another thing is how to change the font, style, and color
