Foxpro 2.5b and WIndows ME

I cannot even run Foxpro 2.5b on my WIndows ME machine. I get the close/ignore window. Sometimes it locks up my PC. Any ideas? Thanks

Have you applied DZPATCH to this copy of FPW? If not do a search on the threads here and get the info on this 'fix'.

Have you checked the number of open files for ME?

We had lots of ME problems until this was fixed.

Thanks vd256 so much for taking the time to repond. it is working. When it starts it gives me a close/ignore option. Ignore freezes my PC, but close allows me in to Foxpro. Thanks again!

Yes, if you click ignore, it runs fine.

You probably copied it over from another computer, or perhaps reconfigured your computer's drives or directories? Review the CONFIG.FP file for changed or invalid directory paths, etc. Make sure there aren't multiple copies in different directories to ensure the program uses only the one you expect.
