FOXPLUS STRUCTURE

Does anyone know the difference in structure (if there is one) between a COPY filename TYPE FOXPLUS and COPY filename TYPE FOX2X ?

The DBFs are absolutely identical. I'm not 100 percent sure about memo files, but I believe they're identical too.

I just had a quick look at some memo files. The ones I looked at are identical too (FOX2X and FOXPLUS).

A few years ago, I ran across a difference between FOX2X and FOXPLUS files. I found that Access was unable to import FOX2X files that contained memo fields, but yet it could import FOXPLUS files. I never tried to figure out why.

FWIW, FOXPLUS creates dBase III Plus-type tables. That means DBT for memo rather than FPT.

True, but that also applies to FOX2X. And the DBT files are identical.

FoxPro 2.6 has FPT.
