If you want to add a picture to a report there are a few things you will need to do. You will need a printer capable of printing images, be it IBM or HP.
First, go to this site to get some great overlay/page segment samples from IBM:
When you are using your photo software print to this printer (select print to file). Select printer properties to define if this is an overlay or page segment (in your case it will probably be a page segment). Also make sure that the font substitution table is not checked because this causes problems during the creation of the overlay/pagseg. Then you will create the file on your pc.
Next, bring the file to the AS400 via Operations Navigator in QDLS and place in a folder.
Use the IBM sample command OVERLAY or SEGMENT to create your object.
Look at the sample source from IBm to see how the page segments/overlays were integrated into the print files.
Have fun.
