Hey guys,

I've got a pretty simply question here about forwarding an extension to another extension.

The only way I can forward a phone right now is to physically setup the forward on the phone itself. I looked in the mitel gui system admin area but cannot seem to find a way to forward an extension to another extension. I'm assuming there is a way to setup a forward without actually leaving my desk and going to the physical phone itself. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Lou

Sorry forgot to mention I have the Mitel 3300 ICP.

We primarily use 5212 5215 and 5220 phones here.

Thank you,

Lou

The exact menu will depend on the version of MCD you are running, but ...
Navigate to: Users and Devices -> Advanced Configuration -> Call Forwarding Profile

You can click 'Add' to add a new call forward profile, or 'Change' to edit an existing one. You can also enable/disable call forward profiles (turn them on or off) to make things easier.
Just enter the extension you want to forward, what call forward type (Always/Busy(Int/Ext)/No Answer(Int/Ext)) and the number to forward to.

Look at the Feature Access Codes Form.

Call Forwarding Third Party is the feature you want, you will also need to look at the Class of Service options to make sure you are allowed to use this feature.

Also what version of software are you running, there are other ways you can do this via the GUI if are running a later release via the Call Forwarding Profiles Form.

Call Forwarding Profiles won' be available in that release.

You will have to use Feature access codes to forward.

Use the Group Admin or the desktop tool, it allows you to program and set call forward from the web page

Follow boycey9 suggestion. set yourself or someone up with Group admin access then they can do things like establish forwarding for sets.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.
