Normally when you forward a phone to voicemail (callpilot) and some one call's you it goes straight to you voicemail box. A system I am working on when you forward a phone to mail the system thinks your trying log into a mail box. Example, my phone is forwarded to 6700, ( callpilot )you call my DID callpilot picks up and says, "callpilot from Nortel Networks, Mial Box. I want the phone that is forwarded to mail to go into that individual's mail box. Any idea's????

I have a similar issue.
I forward extension 201 to 2009, for instance.

Ext 201 have the "General Delivery" as a Voice Mail cell. Now the 209 extension has the same Voice Mail. If somebody transfer a call to 209, and there is no answer, the voice mail for that extensiion is not available, the call is returned back to the initiator.

It is necessary to forward to 201, and then the system forward to 209, and if there is no answer, the voice mail will take place.

Strange ...

Make sure you do not have the auto-login feature enabled.

auto log would not do that if the the system is built right.. system type? cls marks can not include vma for the station.. are you forwrding to the cdn?

sbrici are you talking about a Norstar or a BCM?

It's a Norstar.

jUST SO YOU KNOW, YOUR IN THE WRONG FORUM. tHIS IS THE LARGE pbx fORUM, YOU WANT THE nORSTAR fOURM #799. yOU MAY GET A bETTER ANSWER THERE.

Eddieduece, what does MB stand for? Johnpoole, I am forwarding to an SDN built in callpilot. Keep in mind that this callpilot resides in California and our remote office is in Austin tx. Maybe that has something to do with the problem.

MB is mailbox. Do you have a T1 between the systems? Sounds like the call pilot in California is not recognizing the calling number.

Verify that the mailbox is built in Call Pilot, and try changing from SDN to a users mailbox. It's a starting point.

I changed the sdn # from what I thought was a DID to a DID and now I can call and get my fax tone. Example. I call 3997 which is ncfw to 5200 (sdn) from a phone and I get a fax tone. But when I do the same from a fax,the fax never arrives. I get the same externaly faxing in. Isn't the fax # suppose to be associated with his mailbox as an ext?
