Hi All,

I have two companies sharing a PBX. 1 BRI each on a 406v2 with 4.2-11 software. I have a shortcode ?-.-Main ARS. which sends all calls to the main ARS. this in turn sends all call to ?-.-line4. company A go out on BRI 1 this is line group 0, they all have user shortcodes, ?-.-line 0. This enables seperate billing on the BRI,s. When company B. Set forwarding via there phones, it automatically forwards on line 0. Not sure how they do there forwarding, i will find out when onsite tomorrow. they are on a seperate ip range and they do not want phone manager. is there a simple way for them to forward over line 4?

thanks Tom

When setting the forward number do it to shortcodes that dials out the relevant trunk, forwards are system generated and always go out 0, annoyingly users cant set their own mubers doing it this way though.

the use of user rights is handy here, simply create a short code for the Bri in question and add the relevent users to this group.

Do forwarded calls follow user right settings though? I always thought they never, I'm sure I have struggled with this before. Perhaps not

Hi Again,

any chance of a walkthrough on the shortcode required to set forewarding via line no. or a walk through on the user rights.

appreciated! tom

company 1 = Bri 1 which is outgoing trunk group 1
company 2 = Bri 4 which is outgoing trunk group 4

User Rights
Put all Company 1 into a new User Rights called Comp#1,
?
.
TG1

Company 2 into User Rights Comp#2
?
.
TG4

Easy!

Cool, Thankyou TheTaker. Much simpler than individual shortcodes as well for the users.

tom

always easier to use UserRights but sometimes you find features will work differently or not at all if programmed in there.
