Forwarding to external line and area code

I'm trying to setup call forwarding on a 2616 phone, that will forward from the 650 area code i'm in, to a 415 area code. Can someone give me some tips on this?

Please note that i'm pretty green when it comes to these phone systems so please be as detailed as you can.

NOTE: Ok, after reading some posts, i check to see if the the call forwarding for external phones was CFXA, and it was.

So now, all i have to do is change the CFW value from 8 (what it is currently) to 10. How do I do that?
