Forwarding to a mobile off net

I have looked at the threads but they don't seem to cover my problem.

I have a group of people that want to be able to change the remote coverage twice a day to a mobile.

I have set them up so that if their group is not answered it forwards onto a handset which has a call forward button so that they just enter the virtual extension that has a cover path set for the remote coverage no.

I have tried just by cover groups and it works okay but as soon as I put the mobile number into the remote coverage and call forward it to that it stops working.

I have set call-fwd off net and if I dial that virtual extension it works but I just can't get it to work on pressing the call forward feature.

Please advise and thank you in advance.

What are you using to forward the calls? Call forwarding or coverage paths? Do they want the calls to go to the mobile at specific times or whenever they feel it necessary?

Cheers,
NJ

PS: Please let me know if my advice has been of any use.

The call is taken on a call forward to a virtual extension which covers to a remote coverage point (mobile).

They want to be able to enter the call forward number as and when they need and want to do it by putting into the handset.

Am I reading this correctly

1. no answer on group --> call-forward to handset (or is this actually coverage??)
2. handset call-forward to virtual extension
3. coverage path to mobile

In other words: forward-forward-coverage... (or is it coverage-forward-coverage... if so: this will not work since you cannot follow coverage twice)

You might want to check the system-parameters coverage-option form, more specific the "coverage after forwarding" parameter. This should be set to "y" in your case.

Thanks Huffer,

The forward override was off so I have set it to on and seeing if that works.

The actual scenario is call comes in - goes to vdn/vector - queued to skill - answer if skill is there - RONA to station - station is forwarded to virtual station - Virtual station is covered to remote number.

So really it should only have to forward then cover.

Is there an easier way as they must make changes to where the call is forwarded at least twice a day?

maybe can you use VDN variables for this?

RONA destination: a new VDN, with variables (these could be there mobile numbers)

Build an extra VDN to which the people can call to adjust the active variable of the former VDN.

Do you mean add codes for variable vectors so that they put in a code and it changes the destination of the mobile?

If I have got it wrong I apologise.

It does actually work okay to a landline
