Forwarding one extension to another 2

Sorry if this is a n00b question, but I'm new to phone systems in general.

I'm working on a Merlin Magix system, and I want to forward one extension (ex: extension A) to another (ex: extension B). Would it also be possible for a call forwarded from A to B to also go to B's voicemail instead of A's? I've currently got forwarding running from a phone, but it needs to be plugged in and it still sends the caller to the original voicemail box which should not be used any more.

The call will be pulled back to the original extension for voicemail. that's just how it works.

Oh, OK. Thanks. Is there any way that I could have the extension forwarded without having a phone connected to the extension I'm forwarding from?

Yes, you can give the phone an authorization code, so that you can go to another phone, and "become" that extension to be able to forward it.

You could go to the receiving phone, and use the "Follow Me" feature to send calls to the receiving phone.

You could add a Primary Coverage button for the original phone on the target phone.
