Forwarding on DND

Hello

We have set up a clients phone to forward calls to a specific number on number busy and unanswered. But say if he is in a meeting he will put it into DND, unfortuatley this did not forward to the specific number but went to voicemail, so we took off voicemail and now it just beeps as if engaged. Is there a shortcode we have to put in or is there another way around this?

Is the incoming call a huntgroup call? If so, you must check the box 'forward huntgroup calls'. Does it work if you dial his extension direct?

Hi mate

There is no hunt group it just goes straight to the user extension. The reason for this is that he have bought a contract with a company that will take messages and give them to him when he is free, dont know why he dont just have voicemail. There does not seem to be anything in the system to allow it nor in phone manager, so we are a bit stuck.

Sorted now created and invisible user to forward unconditional to the number and put in a hunt group.

I think teddysherri's solution is clever enough to deserve a clearer description. I'll try:

Create an invisible user that forwards calls unconditionally to the external answering service's phone number. Then put the invisible user and the user-whose-calls-are-to-be-forwarded into a linear hunt group together.

alternativly educate the user to put his phone on divert instead of DND when he wants calls to go to a diff destination

teddys solution is a good work around, especialy for hot desk useres who forget to divert before logging off
