Im having problems with exchange 2000 calendars and remote outlook users.
For example, under an internal users' mapi profile structure they have
outlook today
--calendar
--contacts
Under this calendar they forward appointments both internally and externally
The internal appointments are fine, when recieving the mail the appointment appears as an attachment with a calendar icon and this can literally be drag and dropped onto the internal users' calendar
The dates match up and appear in the right order on the calendar
The problem occurs when forwarding the appointment to remote users. They are using pop to remotely connect to the exchange server, all using outlook XP
When they receive the appointment they see it as an envelope rather than an appointment icon. They can though, open the appointment but the date is set to the time of the remote users local system rather than the time that was actually set on the appointment
So when dragging the appointment into outlook they all appear on 'today' on the users calendar
Ive opened the appointments in notepad and they seem to refer to exchange locally so im thinking this is where the problem is, that when they are forwarded the information isnt imbedded properly or similar
This is NOT for public folders, this is for people forwarding appointments created in their local calendar, but this works locally on the lan for people with mapi profiles, just not for remote users using outlook and pop3
Can anyone please suggest a work around for this
thanks
