Please help if you can.
Running SBS2000 wiht Exchange 2000 etc. I want emails that are sent to one of my email addresses xyz@abc.com to be forwarded to another internal email address and to a third party (an external email address). I have tried two methods:
1. Creating a contact in AD with the external email address. Then selecting within the properties tab of the internal account (xyz@abc.com), the option to "forward" and selecting the new Active Directory contact.
2. Creating a new distribution group with the third party listed as a USER (tried with contact too).
When sending an internal email to the (1) it is handled correctly and sent to the two addresses (one internal and one external). However, when I try sending from outside of our network (hotmail); the internal email address receives the message okay but the external third party does not (I've ticked the "allow auto forwarding" in Exchange Global Properties).
When sending an internal email to (2); the internal email address receives the message but the third party does not. Same for the hotmail send.
I need a fix that will send all emails (whether their origin is external or internal) to both emails.
I'm pulling my hair out - can anybody help?
