Forwarding DN to another DN's voicemail

Help! I've been searching through lots of threads on this topic and I have one more question:

Is the only way to forward ext1 to ext2 voicemail to remove ext1 from Meridian Mail and add ext1 as a Secondary_DN to ext2 Meridian Mail?

I already have CLS SFA set in ext2 and ext1 FDN set to ext2. Also, CLS FNA & HTA on both extensions.

I have a Meridian Opt61 (Rls22) and Meridian Mail R12.

NO, YOU SHOULD GET EXT 1 MAILBOX. MAKE SURE THE EXTENSION IS MARPED ON EXT 1

I tried that, didn't work. You call EXT1 and EXT1 rings, then the call goes to EXT2 and just keeps ringing; no voicemail picks up. ??

Collenator,

Ext1 is going to maintain its original identity when going into voicemail. Therefore, if you want it to go into ext 2 voicemail, you are correct, you have to put ext 1 as an ext in ext 2's voicemail...If this is a temporary thing, instead of getting rid of ext 1's voicemail, you should be able to enter ext 1 into the VSDN table in mail and define it as CA to the mailbox of ext 2. Does ext 1 have SFA in CLS?

Thank you fonchick, but that did not work.
I added ext1 to VSDN in mail with CA to ext2. CLS SFA is currently turned on on both extensions. (mail is rls 12).

I also have ext2 MARPd on ext1.

Any other ideas besides getting rid of the mailbox for ext1?
Need a printout of ext1 and ext2?

I GOT IT!!! fonchick, IT DID WORK! I forgot to change the FDN on ext1 back to the voicemail DN and now ext1 rings and then rolls into ext2 voicemail!!!!

One more thing, what needs to be done to have ext1 ring on ext2 before dropping into voicemail?

I am unsure what you mean by this...Do you have both extensions marped on the same set? If ext1 is marped on one phone and ext 2 is marped on the same set that is your problem b/c both are being told to fdn to ext 2.

Here is how it should be set up:
Phone set 1:
sfa set in cls
FNA set to ext 2
ext 1 marped

Phone set 2:
sfa set in cls
FNA set to vm
ext 2 marped

TMW1 - I think I read a post about the same thing, but no real answer....correct? I can print the TN's for you but you also need to set it up in voicemail, which I cannot print to you (it's the VSDN table to keep EXT1's voicemail intact, if it has one). I'll try and get it posted today.
