Forwarding calls to another extension's VM

Hi.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to forward one extension's calls to another extension and then have the 2nd extension's vm also pickup?

I have a MICS and NAM...not sure on the releases but there are about 8 to 10 years old.

Here is the scenario...
Extension 1034 would like his phone to ring a 4 times and if he does not answer it then forward to extension 1035 and if 1035 does not pick up the call it should go to 1035's voice mail.
Right now I have the 'forward no-answer' of 1034 set to forward to 1035 as well as 'forward on busy'. The call does get to 1035 but then will drop back into 1034's VM. We need it to stay at 1035 and drop into 1035's vm.

Is it because 1035 used to go to his own VM and I need to delete the mail box? Or am I just not forwarding it correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

no it always returns caller to the primary ext's mailbox

When you forward one set to another Norstar will always send the caller back to the voicemail of the extension originally called if no one answers. I don't know of a work-around off the top of my head

If you have DID's you could probably forward the phone externally to the 2nd persons phone. Or if you have a spare line and analog station port, loop the station to the line, forward the 1st phone to the analog station, and have the line its looped into assigned on the 2nd persons phone.

Assign an Answer DN key on X1035 for an unused DN on your system , example 1050.
Have the 1035 FNA ring count to 3 rings (less than 1034's ring count)
Now set FNA under 1034 to 1050

Great. Thanks to all who chimed in.
I will attempt the answer DN workaround and reply with my findings.

Of course in the time since I've posted the thread, the customer had changed their mind and decided that returning to the original user's (1034) voice mail box.
But I will try out the workaround just for my own personal knowledge.

Thanks again!
