Hello, I'm trying to forward our main number to another number (outside) during lunch and haven't the foggiest how to do this. Previous telecom support guy keeps mentioning that we need to call ATT and have the line enabled to do this? Does that sound right? Thanks

Depending on you lines, and how calls arrive, you should be able to forward your operator to the outside number.

Thanks for the response TouchTone. Do the programming codes vary from version to version or are they pretty much the same? And for forwarding is it *32? Can you kind of walk me through that? Your help is much appreciated.

You need loop start lines, or a T1.

Set loop start reliable disconnect ON, in the lines and trunks menu.

Make your Operator the Principal User of the lines, also in lines and trunks.

Allow your Operator Trunk to Trunk Transfer and Remote Call Forward, both found in extensions.

Then it is press the forward button, dial 9 and the outside number, and then press #. To cancel, press forward, and dial your own extension number.

Thank you. I'm pointed in the right direction
