I have a CS-1000E and an i2007 telephone in my office.

When I forward my office calls to my cellphone, the caller hears one ring then dead air. Mean while, the call is ringing on my cellphone. Is there a way to maintain the ringing for the callers benefit so they don't think the call dropped?

My cell # is a PBX extension(phantom)which is default call forwarded to my 10 digit real cell #.

I forward my office phone to my internal cell #, which default call forwards externally to my cellphone.

Callers hear 1 ring then dead air. But otherwise it works.

Is there a way to maintain the ringing for the callers benefit so they don't think the call dropped?

You might try adding SFA to the your TN. You should be able to forward your I2007 directly to your cell phone by adding CFXA to the CLS and then making sure you have enough digits allowed on your CFW key to forward to an external number. I have not experienced this specific problem, but I have encountered other issues when forwarding calls across multiple TNs and had to use th SFA and FBA CLS entries.

if you forward to a pots line do you get ringback? the cell phone provider has to return low que for your pbx to return ringback.. the switch will not give ringback without the call be ack by the called party..

the reason: dial the west coast, far end does not respond, so i give ringback (because i'm a nice guy) then i get a response from the far end.. and need to return all trunks busy.. two ringbacks then busy? nope.. the called switch has to tell me the cell phone is going to accept that call, untill i get that back the pbx can not give ringback,,,

most sell phone providers have not worked all the bugs out. they buy the switch send one guy to school and take all the defaults,, if one calls works they turn it up and sell air time.. same or worse is true with voip..
