We have some VM boxes that people leave messages in for prescription refills, test results and such. Ussually about 20 a day and a staff member goes into each box and forwards the VM message to the appropriate staff members VM box. I have created the steps shown below. Now when we say forwarding, the message should be removed from the originating VM box. This is something that was quite easy in out previous phone system. Any way to make this easier???

Use voicemail to email and forward the message within email system.

That would be an acceptable answer but our users do not have sound on their computers.

Use a voice question and send it to a group.
Then add the users in to the group who need to listen to the messages.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Can you further explain this functionality? Thanks

I think Peter is suggesting making the VM Pro do the work instead of the users

I would add a menu to the inbound call & route the call to different group mailboxes depending on the option chosen.

Then give the users access to the Group mailboxes are req?

(this sounds like a doctors surgery are there really this number of people answering the msgs ?, most surgeries I deal with only have one or two members of staff doing everything anyway)

We are a large group with 15 Doctors, each with there own staff member, so the calls do come into 4 different mailboxes based on the reason through the autoattendant but then one staff member routes those vms from those main boxes to the indiviual doctors staff members. 80% of our patient base is over 60 and an extensive autoattendant is not an option as they will just hit 0 for the operator because of confusion or frustration.

I understand the problem
perhaps it would be better to route the calls by Doctor rather than function, but this could still be too complicated an Auto attendant for your users.

otherwise cannot you have one member of staff for each function handling the calls for all doctors (perhaps on a rota to even the work load)?

We do doctors all the time and we use AA's all the time.
It is not so hard to press a button.
But yes indeed send the calls to the right group, saves a lot of time sending the messages to the right person.
