I have a CS1000E and I need to set up an extension that can be forwarded to cell phones, and I typically do this via a 5 digit nonDID phantom; but I need the call to go back to the original DN voice mail on call pilot system and not the cell phone voice mail. Can anyone assist with this?

A workaround would be to have the original extension number be answered by voicemail in the first place and given options to call internally or to be diverted to another number such as a cell phone etc.

It's not ideal, but could work.

Is there any way to use SFA to make call go to original mailbox? For instance if I set up DN 8000 to forward to external, either on set or phantom or acd; and if its not answered by external cell then call go to mailbox 8000 on call pilot?

This can be done but requires setup on the cell phone.
If you have a direct number to your voicemail login number then can forwarding your cell to that number.
At least this works for us with Bell Mobility and TELUS phones - might vary by cellular company. Be aware that some cell providers may charge for each forwarded call. You may be able to ask for an option on your plan to overcome that.
It requires the user to set up the forwarding on their phone for busy, no answer and unavailable to your voicemail line. You will also need to put their 10 digit cell number in the CallPilot (assuming) mailbox as an Extension DN.
So call to the CS1000 DN gets forwarded to the cell number, cell number is forwarded to CS1000 voice mail. Voice mail sees the dialed number as the cell number and sends it to the user's mailbox.

...cell number is forwarded to CS1000 voice mail - caller will hear, Nortel CallPilot, Mailbox?

If you do this you have to send to an app that EM to the mailbox in question, not directly to the CP messaging DN

I can't say that it will work for everyone but that's how it works here with PRI trunks.
CallPilot sees the number that was dialed as the cell phone number and treats it accordingly. No apps, no express messaging - just directly to CallPilot.

Thank you for the replies! However we do not wish to have the cell voice mail affected in order to accomplish our desired result. I was thinking that somehow I could manipulate it to where (possibly with SFA) the pbx would revert call back to the original dialed DN mailbox of 8000 in the call pilot.

We had something like this setup with Personal Call Assistant. It allows a call to ring a DN on the switch and (in this case) an outside cell phone. Set the (callpilot) to answer before the cell phone VM.

We used this on our helpdesk for years. Our cell phone was set to just ring forever (no VM).

However... is the cell phone is off or out of range, it's VM will answer immediately and the caller will get its VM not the CallPilot.
