We are in the process of closing down the company and we need to forward the incoming calls to certain peoples DID numbers to a message saying that the company is not in business any more.

First I tried to set the HUNT and FDN to an announcement, but it says this user does not subscribe to the voice mail service. I am able to call the announcement directly and get the message. Then I tried removing the set with the DID in LD 11, and then setup an ACD in LD 23 for that DID.

Is there a better way of doing this??

Thanks for all your help!!!

Go to LD 49 and build an IDC table and point all the DID's to your ACD for the Announcement.

Ok, I tried to build the IDC table and when it asked for the CUST, I put in 0 like always, and it was giving me an error. :-/

Here is what I ended up doing to resolve this issue, and I wouldn't recomend this if you have to this for a lot of extentions. I only had 30 to do.

I OUT'ed all the DID extention, then created an ACD queue for that extention and pointed it to voice mail. Then in Mer Mail, I deleted all the voicemail boxes and then created a pointer in the DN Table.

It wasn't pretty, but it got the job done.

Thanks for your input hawks!!!

Deleting mailboxes isn't necessary because the vsdn will take control before the mailbox. So you could leave the mailbox built and it won't affect anything.

Why don't you post the error you received in LD 49?

fastest way that i know of is to go to your voice service dn table and put the numbers in that, you can point them all to the same anouncement service, then delete the voice mail box and point the numbers to the mail, either an acd or forward fromthe phone.. i would out the phone and use a maxp 1 acd with ncfw pointed to my voice mail..
