forward voicemail

2440 is being forwarded to 2302 with a CFW Key (CFW 4 2302). The forward works great but why does the voicemail for 2440 pickup when no one answers? I'd like it to be 2302 voicemail that picks up. How can I do that?

it picks up because "An unanswered call will always revert to the mailbox of the originally dialed number" add SFA in the CLS of both sets.

so, i added SFA to the CLS of both sets and it still reverts back to the original DN. Was that supposed to fix it?

I'm not paying attn today, I see you are doing a hard forward. if on 2440 you set FDN 2302 instead of hard forward, what happens?

you might have to make 2440 an ext in 2302s VM profile.

so FDN 2302 on 2440 did not do the trick it still went to 2440 VM. How would i go about making 2440 an ext in the VM profile?

ok, i tried adding 2440 as an ext in 2302 VM profile but it gives an error that says "specified entry already exists." Does that mean i have to delete the 2440 VM profile and add it to 2302?

Yes. Delete mailbox 2440 and add 2440 as an extension DN in 2302. It will then go to mailbox 2302.
