i dont claim to be a definity TECH BUT we are in a transition with a new phone lady coming in. We have no local business partner. One of our extensions has been accidently forwarded directly to VM. this has to have been done at the phone level, no one has been into the switch, so how do we send this back to the phone so it doesnt forward to audix??

jimrit,

First, I would status the phone and make sure that it is registered to the system. The status will also tell you if the phone is 'call-fwd' to 'xxxx'. I would also see if it has a coverage path that sends it to VM on the first ring. Another method is to start a trace and watch while the extension is dialed.

What kind of phone do you have..? The Send All button may have been pushed on the phone. If there is a Send All button on the phone, try pushing the button and try calling the phone.

Do you have access to ASA the genral, if not the genral default to turn this off #91 hope this helps.

But this may of been changed the command in the above post will tell you the status of the pohone the if you type in "cha fea" you can go through and look at all the call forward options , but genrally this is "send all calls"

Thank you to all for the help, but Monty gets the star. The cha feature listing allowed me to see that #4 forwarded all calls and #3 stopped the forwarding. It explained it all. we had 2 or 3 extensions with this issue, where the calls went right to voice mail. The main local exchange here is 446. so... if someone accidently hit the # sign instead of the 9 right above it, then started dialing... they hit #4 and turned it on to forward the calls... #3 ended the forwarding and brought peace to their world. Thanks a lot for the help everyone.
