Forward to Public Folder question

I am using the Mail Journaling feature of my Mail Stores to archive the messages to a Public Folder.

Messages are appearing in the PF but as Post Items and not Mail Items.

If I e-mail the PF then it appears an a Mail Item.

Anybody know why they appears as Posts and not Mail Items ? (I have some 3rd party software that needs to look at the PF and is expecting Mail Items).

Hopefully that does the trick.

Since M$ constantly says that you shouldn't journal to a PF, I'm wondering if making a regular mailbox your journal recipient would be better, or even having that mailbox send a copy to the PF with a rule and see if it behaves the way you want. Just some ideas.

I'm following MS advise. My Mail Archving program picks up its e-mail from a user account but some Financial software can only pick up from a PF so I've had to archive to an account and then forward onto a PF.
