Forward on busy no longer working 1

Guys:
I have an Option 61C, Rel. 3 and am having an issue with a 2616. Up until today calls were rolling to voicemail on busy. Now internal calls get a busy signal and external calls get a ring no answer and eventually go to the operator. Any ideas?

I should say that I checked the phone and it is not forwarded. I also disabled and enabled the TN. That did not help.

i am unable to post the TN as the pBX terminal is standalone

Well, the first thing I'd do is look at the DATE at the bottom of the TN. That'll indicate when the last program change was done.

Then, you need CLS HTA FNA plus the HUNT and FDN values set to Voice Mail's main number.

Thanks, GHTROUT. There have been no changes to the TN. I am the only person that makes changes. CLS does show FBA, FNA, HTA. FDN and HUNT are set to 7000, which is voicemail.

voicemail working? if you were to dial 7000, do you get answered by vm?

There's your problem: FBA.

It should be FBD

Have you done a physical move of wiring and moved the wrong pair/TN? Dial a number with caller ID from that phone and make sure the # is correct.

I feel pretty dumb. It was a MARP issue. I don't know how it would have gottten chaged to one of the 4 phones that have this line appearance. I suspect it never worked and the user just noticed it now. Thanks for all of your help. You guys are great!

Glad you found the MARP issue. But don't overlook FDB. When CLS=FBA, that specifies "DID Calls to a Busy DN go to Attendant Console"

It's a feature that simply has few benefits in todays' telecom.

GHTROUT: I tested the line and it is rolling to VM on busy since I changed the MARP. Do I still need to change FBA to FBD?

Well, HUNT takes precedence over FBA, but just knowing what the feature means indicates you might not want it.
