I have a customer who wants his phone to ring only at his desk when someone dials his extension. If he doesn't answer it he wants it to go to his assistant and if she doesn't answer it he wants it to go into his VM box. I know you can do this on the Option series with MCR keys and MARP but can this be done on a BCM 400?

Use hunt groups. Renumber a hunt group with his extension, overflow it to his assistant, which is in another hunt group, and overflow that to vmail. Input the second hunt groups dn as an alt extension in call pilot. Obviously it won't ring his intercom keys, but it'll work.

You're forgetting something change the Hunt Group type to Sequential, that's way will ring one set at a time.

I believe I have done this by forwarding his phone to a sequential HG with the assistant as the only member and overflow to VM. This allows his intercom key will ring. Works for target lines also.

Thanks guys I'll give it a shot. Let you know after I go back on Wednesday

Actually, all you have to do is to set the 1st users phone to 'Fwd No Answer' to the second phone and if she doesn't answer it will come back to the first mailbox by itself.

Really? Even if she has her own voicemail box?
