forward no answer issue

Have CICS 6.1 with call pilot 100 in service at location and while programming phone for new person the other day found that when dialing station to station the phone rings for the 4 rings assigned for forward no answer then the ring goes away on the phone but the light still flashes and voice mail will not pick up. The voicemail is active and can be reached by feature 981 and transfer to voicemail works. I thought this might have to do with DRT but it is set at higher ring count. What else could this be?

1 - Does the CFNA setting = the DN of the vmail? (F985)
2 - Are there too many channels in use when you test?

The CFNA is the voicemail DN and maintenance shows the port/dn idle

Try a reboot of the CP

I rebooted call pilot twice to see what IP was assigned

If there is only one intercom button assigned to the phone, try adding another and see if that fixes the problem.

What does the display say? Calling phone and called phone?
