Hi all
Exchange 2003, Outlook.
How can I configure that a mail message from a mailbox has been forwarded in a new mailbox.
I explain, a customer has got a new mail address and want that all the messages received at the old address has been forwarded to the new one.

thanks
azzurri

Hi azzurri,

You can create a diversion in three different ways:

1. On the server, you should edit user exchange properties tab to create a diversion. You can choose if you want to leave a copy of the message in the orginal mailbox before forwarding, or if you want just to forward it to the new mailbox

2. Create an outlook rule. There are a number of option you may choose

3. if the old mailbox is not active anymore, why don't you delete SMTP entry (i.e. user@domain.com) for the old mailbox, and create an additional SMTP entry in the new mailbox.

Hope you can find this post useful.

Robert
