Forward line xxxx to xxxx in Dafinity 1

Hi,

I remotely administrate our site location in the midwest via Avaya Site admin. This is the only site with an avaya shelf, and my knowledge is minimal.

In GEDI I can change the station configuration.

It's been requested I forward line a to line b so that all calls are received since this person on line b is now handling all responsibility for both positions.


Can anybody help in setting up the forward? Do I need to define any coverage path, or is it as easy as clicking a field and entering the number to forward to?

Using GEDI: Place an autodial button on the LineA by typing change station LineA (Replace LineA with extension)

12: autodial Number: *2Lineb (Replace LineB with extension)

Make a note what line you put it on. In the example above it's on line 12.

Then type: list trace station LineA/18. This will activate the call-forward button.

Basically you take the line number you added the autodial button to and then add 6.

There are other ways, but if you don't want to bother anyone and call-forwarding is the request, this works.

Several ways to do this remotely. The easiest for you would be to create a coverage for 1 ring (all calls)to the next station.

Something you may want to look into is setting up a remote access number. This would make it easy for you to call in, enter the call forwarding access code and be done...

I want into change station 8xxx

I went to tab 3 field 12

I added autodial to field twelve

I added *28xxx to the field then hit enter

I went to the return field and typed list trace station 8xxx/18 then hit enter.

It changes to the word list after entering

I then called the number to be forwarded but it still goes to the last person's mailbox and doesn't forward.
 
Oh yeah - can't do it GEDI: Using ASA emulation this will work. Close your GEDI window (by clicking on the x in the upper right corner) - DON'T logout, just click the x. Then click the site you're working on (in the left hand side of the screen) and press CTRL+E. This will open the emulation window. Type 4410 if prompted.

Then run the list trace command again.
