Not exactly sure how to do this. I have also tried to figure out how to forward one extension VM to another's with no success. Distro Lists seem to not do this, and using Transfer type VM seem to only bring up a Greeting Message.

I'm trying to figure out if there's an easy way to do this.

The originating extension is tagged to the call as it goes to VM. If there is a mailbox that matches that original extension, that is where the call will go. If there is no mailbox that matches, the call will go to the main system greeting. This is default.

That being said, I think there is a COS option that disables this when assigned to the originating extension. I truly cannot remember the option number or description, but I did use it a few years ago. I believe the option will allow the last extension on the call to be tagged so it goes to that mailbox instead of the original. This means that you have to forward the call from the first extension to the second extension and THEN to VM.

Good Luck!

I have never found a clean way to override the integration on the SX-200 with embedded mail.

That being said you can use the old school analog DTMF method.

Create a speed call that will dial the hunt group access code wait 1 second(*9), dial *(Star) and then the mailbox you want to deliver to.

e.g. 1234*9**4444
1234 = Hunt Group
*9 = wait 1 second
** = Send Star
4444 = Mailbox to deliver to.

If there is a mailbox associated with the original extension I recommend you record a moment of silence at the beginning of the greeting to avoid the caller hearing a partial greeting before getting the actual one.

With no mailbox associated, the caller may hear a partial greeting from the Auto-Att before the actual greeting.

Another potential solution to your delemma is to leave the mailboxes separate and place a message key on the phone that needs to monitor both.

Thanks for the answers guys, but I managed to get what I wanted doing something completely the opposite.

I basically needed my boss's phone to have her regular extension / VM, and a 2nd private line going to her Extension's VM.

I managed to do this by setting up the Trunk line on her extension # in the "Non Dial-In Trunks" Form. Seems to do exactly what I want somehow, although I don't completely understand it. I also setup a Multicall line for her extension and that does give her the 2 lines that she needs (in or out) / at the same time. Main thing was that private line that comes in and nobody else can use that.

Her setup does the same thing as before the meltdown we had, but it's not setup at all the same way, but anwyays it works for now.

Not to criticize but your solution has no relationship what-so-ever to your description of your problem.

If you want good answers, ask clear questions.
