I'm working with an S8500 Media Gateway.

I need to forward a fax line to an external efax number for the holidays. I would typically create a coverage path to do this, but it doesn't look like there is enough numbers in the "Point" fields for a 9 + area code+ number.

How else can I accomplish this??

from that station, dial your feature code for call forward, then the number you want to send it to. or, you can do it from a phone that has console permissions. either way, that station has to have a cor that allows off-net call forwarding.

If you are going to do it in the coverage path, use the remote call coverage table. 'change cov rem' or 'cha cov rem 1' (depending on your CM Version) Add your number (including the ARS 9 if off-pbx) on an available line. Then do 'change cov path x' and put rxx (xx= entry in remote coverage table) in the point field. Change the number of rings and coverage criteria if desired.

The Coverage Remote table should give you enough room to add your fax number.

How do I give a phone console permissions, and once I do that, how do I forward that station from the phone with console permissions? The station in question has the same COR as all other stations which can forward off-net.

Thanks for the suggestions.
