I have a question about exchange 5.5...
How can i configure that a mail message automatical will be forwardet to anohter?
As exaple:
you send a message to 123@asdf.com and tis mail will be forwarted to james.bond@anotherdomain.com

How can I do this? (and is it also possible that the user can configure it(with outlook web access)?

Can someone help me?? Thanks

Mario

p.s. sorry for my ugly englis ;)

Get into the mailbox for the user concerned then click on the Delivery options tab and in the alternate recipient part use the option which enables the field and put the email address in that you want the mail to goto.

hi washi01

firs, thanks for your answer!

i have also found this option, but when I select "forward to" option, I can't enter text into the box,
I can only click on the "change" button on the right side of the textfield.
and in this "change" menue, i can only select other users of the domain... no way to enter another mail adress :(

i hope you know what I'm talking about... I have a german version of w2k, so the text in the " " can be diffrent (I'v tried to translate...)

Greetings

Mario

Ok i have now found out how to this.

1. Create a custom recipient with the email address you wish to forward messages to.

2. In the email accountin question use the Alternative Recipient part of the delivery options and select the new account you hav just created (it will have a globe next to t) then ok it.

You should then get emails forwarded to the custom recipient email address.

I have just tested this and it works.
