Our voip provider lets us set Caller ID to whatever we want via the "SIP Name" field on each user account in IP office.
Is there a way we can forward calls, and send the original caller ID as SIP Name?

I saw something similar where you added SSI to an ARS w/ a new forwarding shortcode.
But that isn't working for use, I think because we need something other than SSI?

If your SIP URI is setup right it will send the incoming From field on the outgoing call.

I'm guessing there is a catch here on what fields they want and what they should include?

It is also configured differently depending on what IP Office version you have.

Here is a snip from monitor:

Via: SIP/2.0/UDP OurPublicIP:5060;rport;branch=z9hG...
From: "JUSTIN" <sip:CallerIdGoesHere@pai.voipdnsservers.com>;tag=d7...
To: <sip:972xxxxxxx@pai.voipdnsservers.com>
Call-ID: b9e...
CSeq: 1473116769 INVITE

What does my ARS rule need to put the incoming caller ID into CallerIdGoesHere?

It is not in the ARS, you need to use the SIP line settings for this. Your URI should have a call forwarding setting, on R11 this should be set to original callerID not sure on R9.

On R9 you set Send Caller ID to either Diversion or P Asserted ID depending on what the SIP provider wants.

You also need to disable Send original calling party under System -> Twinning or it will override the SIP Line settings.
