Forward a 500 DN

I have a 500 set that physically doesn't exist - with a DN of 318. It appears on 3 phones (help desk scenario. The users shift up on their 3903s to see the line. How can I get the users to forward 318 to vmail at night?
Also, the MWI is on set 318 which doesn't exist and obviously doesn't light. If I put one of the user's phones as the MWI, can they tell if it's their personal ext or 318???

no they will not know the difference, i would make it a member of one of the users mb.. also you can out the 500 and marp the dn to any station that does have vm, that will clean that up...another choice is to program remote call forwarding on that set.. then any user could forward or unforward that station that has the scpw

If you leave it out by itself (not physically on a phone) turn notify user of a busy line off in the mail box, so they won't hear the user is on the phone message.

I can't remember if it's possible or not on a 3903, but can't jmazza set up a key for message waiting indication on the phone for 318?(xmwk)

yes you can use the xmwk on a 3900, i just added one on mine, so it does work but i still don't see a need for the 500

I think it was setup as a 500 long ago because it was an emergency hot line number used for special projects. Different members depending on the project. The SCPW sounds good. The user can then fwd to vmail at lunch, >5 etc? I never used it before - I think SCPW is 0

I agree on the 500 line not being needed. If it already appears on the 3903s, I would MARP it and be done with it like you suggested.
jmazza, other than the voice mail issue is there a reason for 318 to be programmed as a 500?

I may have to set it up as an auto attendant soon.

It's the 3rd line (after main and roll-up) on 3 current users who answer it.

How would I MARP it?

just do a change on the set with scr 318 return at the marp prompt type yes
