Im using crystal 8.5 and in my report i want to be able to have a parameter or pick list box of some sort pop up so that the user can pick a certain criteria from the list and the information on that will appear on the report. If you having any idea, it would be much appreciated.

Create parameter field and populate the default values of the field.

How do i go about populating the default values for my field that i want to choose from?

I want my report to show only the information that is associated with which ever field that i pick. For instance, i want to sort by location, i have 10 different possible locations and each location has corresponding data. Through out the report all the data is intermixed so i want to be able to be able to pick a certain location for the parameter pick-list and then all that comes up on the report is that which corresponds to that location.

After you create the parameter with the default values for your pick list, then write a record selection formula so you only get data for that location based on what value isselected for the parameter.
