I am using CR Ver8

Essentially I have one main report and two sub reports. I need to produce a formula in the main report that looks at values in the sub reports.

Is this possible?

If anyone knows the answer, please let me know as soon as possible - It's driving me up the wall!

Cheers

Is the data from the Sub reports coming from the same query?

If so just use the same formula in the main report but hide it or dont even use it on the main report, just replicate its processing!

Thanx for the swift response(The reports are based around three similar (but not identical queries).

However, I don't think I've explained myself very well. I need a value in the main report that is based on a formula value in the other two reports sort of like:

If
{FormulaValuefromReport1} = 'Adolfo' And
{FormulaValuefromReport2} = 'Shabadoo' AND
{FormulaValuefromReport2} = 'Quinnones'
Then
"Star of 'Breakdance' and 'Breakdance 2 - Electric Bogaloo'"

Just for a bit of backgroud, the problem is:
I have 3 reports. 'Report 3' has records in it that also appear in 'Report 2' and 'Report 1'. I need to find a way to exclude records from 'Report 1' that appear on 'Report 3' and exclude records from 'Report 3' that appears on 'Report 2'(lost yet? I know I am).

I thought a formula-type solution may be best - but if anyone can think of a better way, please let me know.

Cheers

You can use shared variables to transfer values from subreports to main report.

Thanx CSM2 - sounds interesting!

Can you give me anymore detail on this? I'm fairly new to the advanced side of CR (well shared variables sound advanced to me anyway!).

If you haven't got time - do you know if information on shared variables available in the CR8 User's Guide?

Cheers
