hi all,
ive posted on another forum on this site, but i think this is the right one..
i have ms access, and im trying to set up formulas, but its not working right.

example

columna columnb columnc
123 456 789

im trying to calculate this formula

columnc = column a - column b /column a

where would i put this in vbs and how?

Are these columns static or do you need to calculate for several rows?

i just need it to calculate a and b and change c when i change either a or b, theres several rows, but it doesnt need to do each one.

Access is not like Excel. You can't just calculate a column.

You can create an update query that updates a column. But that will need to be run as often as you need the column updated.

Or you can do a calculation in a form and save it to a field.

I would create a query.

i got it already, i needed to use the expression builder and use order of operations, my boss didnt explain his problem well enough when he gave it to me.
