please help me to do
thank you in advance

Do you have the "can grow" option checked? You can check by right clicking on the field then > Format > Common > Check the can grow option.

If this does not work then please try posting all the related techincal information.

hello kchaudhry
ya i am having that option "can grow" option is there.Yes if the data is having more character then its growing its not a problem, but in the last column if the data is more its coming in the next page.but in the previous page the the vertical line is incomplete and the colour is also incomplete.

Right click on the line->format line->and check "Extend to bottom of section when printing. I can't think of a reason why a color would be incomplete--is the color based on section formatting or on a text box or a field?

hai lbass,
i had given alternate color in the detail section if the data is more in the last field the color is incomplete,i had given can grow for a column because it is text field in my database, the last column is incomplete and i had given vertical line its also incomplete, whether i can send screen shots

Do you have details below one another in the detail section?

It sounds like the detail section itself is being split between pages. If this is the case, go to the section expert (format->section->details) and make sure "Keep together" is checked. I think this will prevent the detail section from splitting between pages.

Also make sure that you have formatted each line to "extend to bottom of section when printing," as I mentioned earlier.

hai lbass,

i am having only one details,i didn't split up the another details.when i want to implement the same method for this also?
thank you

I didn't quite understand your response.

Do you have "keep together" checked in the section expert for the details section? Go to format->section->details and check "keep together" if it isn't already.

Did you format the lines to extend to the bottom of the section?
