I have created a form and it has a subform on it.
I want the form to have a button which when clicked will display the record on sub form for the respective record on the main form.

Is that possible to do ? how ?

Create Links between the Main form and Sub form.
Use the wizard for creating of subform (Toolbox). It links forms automaticaly.

thanks for the quick response, i tried it but it doesnt work, it doesnt ask me anything about the button or anything like that.

Put cursor to Link Child textbox on subform's property window and push <F1> (Help). Read about linking of forms.

If you installed Access with default setting, Wizard was automatically installed.
When you try to setup sub-form, make sure to turn on Wizard in Toolbox It should ask you how you would like to connect(link) it when Wizard is turned on.
